Pulimurugan has done a business over 60 crores in 2 weeks time!
Pulimurugan had already become an epic success in Malayalam Film Industry and when we consider the share earned by Malayalam movies so far from screens here in Kerala, Pulimurugan had become the new industry hit in Malayalam. The film had earned around 40 crores (39.80 crores to be exact) from its 14 days run here in Kerala alone. The share earned by the film in this 14 days from Kerala is 18.67 crore and it had surpassed the share earned by Drishyam, which was the industry hit here before Pulimurugan. Drishyam had got a share above 17 crores from a Kerala gross of 42.5 crores. Now, we are providing the total revenue earned by Pulimurugan till now. From Kerala it had collected, 39.8 crores. The rest of India market had contributed more than 12 crores for the movie. Before its release, it had done a pre-release business of 15 crores through satellite and overseas rights and thus the total revenue earned by the film till date is rupees 68 crores.
Drishyam is the movie which had done the highest business in Mollywood. It had done a business around 75 crores. Now Pulimurugan is damn sure to surpass it within days and it is now almost sure that Pulimurugan will become the first Malayalam Movie to do 100 crore business.
