Mohanlal Scored a Triple with Pulimurugan!
Records are meant to be broken and it is a universal fact. But it is phenomenal and amazing when one person is breaking his own records and creating new milestones at will. We saw Sachin Tendulkar doing this in Cricket for a long time and now in Malayalam Cinema, Mohanlal doing the same. He is the man of records here in Mollywood and now creating new milestones in box office each and every day with his latest film Pulimurugan. He started to break and make records from 1986 when he became a super star. After 30 years, he is still doing it like a boss and we can say that he is the only actor in Indian Cinema who had given an industry hit in 1986 and 2016. Now, with Pulimurugan he had scored a triple this year in South India and another triple in Mollywood.
Pulimurugan had entered the 50 crore club in 14 days and thus it become the 3rd consecutive film of this year from Mohanlal which crossed the 50 crore mark at the box office. He had done it in just 50 day time. First one was Janata Garage, then Oppam and now Pulimurugan. Janata Garage had grossed 140 crores and Pulimurugan now on the way to 100 crores as well. In Mollywood also, he scored a triple as he becomes the only actor here to have three 50 crore movie. Drishyam, Oppam, and Pulimurugan are the ones which surpassed the 50 crore mark in Mollywood, starring Mohanlal.
