Mohanlal does not have a release in last 10 months as he was busy with some big budget projects in Malayalam and Telugu. But when he came with his first Malayalam movie in last 10 months, it had surpassed each and every record set here by Nivin Pauly one by one like a boss. We are talking about his latest release named Oppam, which released in this year Onam season.
Oppam is now on the way to becoming an industry hit and it had already broken 3 records set by Nivin Pauly films in last 2 years. At first, it becomes the fastest Malayalam movie to gross 10 crores from Kerala beating Premam. Then again it had surpassed Premam record by becoming the fastest Malayalam movie to cross 20 crore gross. Oppam had now grossed 23.7 crores from just 15 days.
Now, it becomes the biggest hit of this year by surpassing the lifetime gross earned by Nivin Pauly’s Jacobinte Swarga Rajyam in just 13 days time. Mohanlal rules Mollywood and you can’t have even the slightest of doubt about that fact.
