Baahubali 2 Kerala Final Collection report: Failed to beat Pulimurugan!
Baahubali 2, the gigantic success in Indian Cinema, also set the cash registers ringing at Kerala box office too like Rest of India box office.
This SS Rajamauli directorial movie starred by Prabhas had finished its run here in Kerala and it had emerged as the second biggest grosser ever in Kerala behind Mohanlal starrer Pulimurugan.
At first, everyone expected Baahubali 2 to become the industry hit in Kerala as well just like it became the industry hit in Kollywood, Tollywood, Sandalwood, and Bollywood. In all these film industries, Baahubali 2 had become highest grosser. But here in Kerala, it failed before the might Mohanlal starrer historical success titled Pulimurugan.
As per the reports coming in from trade sources, Baahubali 2 had grossed around 75 crores from Kerala alone. Its distributors share is around 33 crore as well. Mohanlal strarrer Pulimurugan had grossed around 90 crores in Kerala.
Mohanlal is the only actor in Kerala who had four 50 crore+ grossing movies in Mollywood. Drishyam, Oppam, Pulimurugan, and Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol are those movies of him which grossed over 50 crores in its final run. Drishyam and Oppam did a final business above 70 crores and Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol did a final business around 60 crores. Pulimurugan’s business till now is around a whopping 170 crores.
