Mammootty starrer Raja 2 to grace the screens in next year April!
If the reports coming in are to be believed, then the sequel of Pokkiri Raja, titled Raja 2, starring Mega Star Mammootty in the lead will grace the screens in next year April. Reports came recently that director Vysakh and writer Udaykrishna will co-produce this movie and it will be their first production venture as well.
They are planning to start the filming of this movie with an aim to release it on the 7th April 2018. Earlier, Vysakh told that Tomichan Mulakupadam will produce this movie, but due to heavy budget, Tomichan had withdrawn from this project.
Then rumors spread that Raja 2 has been shelved. But now it seems that Vysakh – Udaykrishna team is all set to come up with this project once again. Udaya Krishna will write the screenplay of this movie and Vysakh will direct it.
But still, there is no official confirmation about whether this project will be Raj 2 or not. But sources in the industry say that Vysakh- Udaykrishna team is very keen on bringing back the mass character of Mammootty, from the movie named Pokkiri Raja.
It was through Pokkiri Raja that Vysakh had made his directorial debut. Along with Mammootty Prithviraj also played the lead in that multi-starrer which released in 2010. The movie produced by Tomichan Mulakupadam was a box office success as well.
