Upcoming projects of Mega Star Mammootty in 2017!
The year 2016 was not a great year for Megastar Mammootty. He had four releases in 2016 and only Kasaba managed to gross over 12 crore mark from Kerala Box office. That too showed a disappointing performance after taking a bumper opening, thanks to the hype it created because of the social media trolls. His other three movies like Puthiya Niyamam, White, and Thoppil Joppan were great disappointments as well. White was an all-time biggest disaster in the box office. Now, he is looking forward to a better 2017 and already committed to doing some promising movies.

His first release in 2017 will be The Great Father directed by Debutant Haneef Adeni. It will be a family thriller produced by August Cinemas. After that his next release will be a Tamil film named Peranbu, directed by Ram. It will be a class movie as per reports. Then he will come up with Renjith directorial movie named Puthan Panam in 2017 Vishu and after that, he will be seen playing the lead in a Shyam Dhar movie.

After completing Shyam Dhar movie, he will join the Vysakh movie named Raja 2, which will be produced by Tomichan Mulakupadam. He will have a Shafi Movie written by Rafi and Ajay Vasudev movie written by Udaya Krishna as well in 2017. There are rumors that he will do a movie with Alphonse Puthran and it is not a confirmed one as of now.
