In an exciting revelation, the title of superstar Rajinikanth’s much-anticipated film with director Lokesh Kanagaraj has been announced through a title teaser. The film, previously known by its working title “Thalaivar 171,” has been officially named “Coolie.” Produced by Sun Pictures, the film has music scored by Anirudh, and the title teaser showcases Rajinikanth’s legendary style and charisma.

The teaser reveals the iconic 73-year-old star fighting off gold smugglers in their hideout, delivering a powerful monologue that reflects his signature swagger. As he takes on the bad guys, Rajinikanth says, “Father and grandfather came and went. What is wrong? Which is right? Play your game always. They will curse you a wretched fellow, don’t get them wrong. Don’t brush aside pleasure whatever path you choose. If there is enough food, wine, women, comfort and ideal mindset, even a place even in heaven is assured.”

While the rest of the cast remains under wraps, further announcements are expected once the film goes into production. “Coolie” is scheduled to hit theaters in January or Summer 2025, and Lokesh Kanagaraj has confirmed that this film is not part of his Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU), but a standalone story.

The technical team for the movie includes the renowned stunt duo Anbu-Arivu for action sequences and cinematographer Girish Gangadharan, promising high-octane visuals and breathtaking stunts. With Lokesh Kanagaraj’s dynamic direction and Rajinikanth’s star power, “Coolie” is shaping up to be a blockbuster that fans won’t want to miss. The film is set to begin production in June, and anticipation is already building among fans and movie enthusiasts alike.
