State Film Awards 2016 announced and Vinayakan bagged the best actor award!

After so much anticipation, the Kerala State Film Awards 2016 has been announced by Honorable Minister Sri AK Balan. Vinayakan has been selected as the best actor for his performance in the Rajeev Ravi directorial movie named Kammattipadam. Mohanlal was there in the last round for his performance in the movie named Oppam, as a blind man. The best actress award has been won by Rajisha Vijayan for her performance in the movie named Anuraga Karikkin Vellam directed by Khalid Rahman. It was her debut movie as well.

The best film award went to Manhole directed by Vidhu Vincent and best-supporting actor award went to Manikandan Achari for his performance in the movie named Kammattipadam. Best director award also went to Vidhu Vincent for Manhole which won the best film award.

Popular Odisha director and cameraman AK Bir was the chairman of the jury which consisted of members named Priyanandanan, Sundar Das, Sudevan, PF Mathews, Shanti Krishna, VT Murali, Arun Nambiar, Dr .Meena Pillai, Mahesh Panchu etc.

Maheshinte Prathikaram, directed by Dileesh Pothen, won the award for the popular movie. KS Chithra is the best female singer and male singer is Sooraj. M Jayachandran won the best music director award for Kamboji.
