48th Kerala State Film Awards announced; Indrans and Parvathy won the prestigious awards!
The much-awaited Kerala State film awards have been announced today by the Honourable Minister AK Balan. As expected, the best actor award has been given to Indrans, for his sterling performance in the movie named Aalorukkam. Parvathy won the best actress award for her performance in Take Off and the best director award has been given to Lijo Jose Pellisserry for the film named Ee.Ma.Yau.
The best film award went to Ottamuri Velicham and the best second film is Eden. Alencier won the best character actor award whereas Molly Valsan won the best character actress award for her performance in Ee Ma You. Best screenplay award has been won by Sajeev Pazhoor for Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum and the award for the popular film has been given to Rakshadhikari Baiju Oppu. MK Arjunan Master won the best music director award whereas Gopi Sundar won the award for best background scoring.
Mahesh Narayanan won the best debutant director award for Takeoff and a special mention from the jury has been given to Vijay Menon and Vinith Koshy. Shahabas Aman is the best singer for his song in Mayanadhi and in the female category, it was Sithara Krishnakumar for the song in Vimanam. Abhinand is the best child actor and Nakshtar is the best child actress. Prasanna Master won the best choreographer award.
