Priyadarshan is one of the most popular directors in Indian Cinema and he is one of the best directors we have in Indian Film Industry as well. Without any doubt, we can say that he is the most versatile film Maker we have in Indian Cinema, as he had made every kind of films or may be made movies belongs to every known genres and made it all success. Recently he made a crime thriller, most probably the first time in his career. It was the Malayalam movie Oppam starred by Mohanlal. This movie is all set to become the biggest hit in Mollywood now. It seems the golden days are back for Priyadarshan after a period of complete lows.
After the success of Oppam, he had got another good news as well. His Tamil film named Sila Samayangalil had got selected to the final list of prestigious Golden Globe awards. The film starring Prakash Raj, Sriya Reddy, Nassar etc is written by Priyadarshan himself. It is a movie based on AIDS and got great critical appreciation. It was through a Tamil movie named Kancheevaram that Priyadarshan got his first national award for best director. In Malayalam, he made us happy with a stunning commercial success and in Tamil, he had made a class movie.
