Bahubali of Mollywood: Veeram by Jayaraj on the way!
The first look poster of Malayalam movie Veeram had released a few days back and it is now trending in Social Media. National award winning Veteran director Jayaraj had directed this movie and Bollywood actor Kunal Kapoor is playing the male lead in it. Veeram is the adaptation of Macbeth written by William Shakespeare and the story will be told in the background of Vadakkan Pattu, the folklore songs. The story of the movie is set in the 13th century in the North Malabar region in Kerala. The first look poster of the movie shows the bare back of the lead character whose looks saying that he is a warrior. This big budget film is produced by Chandramohan Pillai, Pradeep Rajan of Chandrakala Arts etc and people now believes that this flick will be Mollywood’s answer to Bahubali. The film will have Hindi and English versions as well.
Many popular technicians from Hollywood also working in this movie. The action sequences were choreographed by Allan Poppleton, who had worked in popular Hollywood movies like Avatar, 300, Hunger games etc. Trefor Proud, the academy award winning makeup artist is also roped in to work in this movie. His most popular work is for Hollywood movie named Gladiator. Another Hollywood biggie Jeff Rona is the one who scores background music for this movie and DOP is S Kumar. Appu N Bhattathiri is the editor of this flick. The colorist of this movie is Jeff Olm (Titanic) and the VFX will be done by the team who is popular for their work in Game of Thrones.
