Will 1971 Beyond Borders set a new record in Mollywood surpassing Pulimurugan?
1971 Beyond Borders starring Complete Actor Mohanlal will hit the screens all over India tomorrow. This emotional war drama has been written and directed by Major Ravi and as its title suggests, it will revolve around the war that happened in 1971, between India and Pakistan. Mohanlal is playing dual characters in this movie and sporting 3 getups as well. Mohanlal is looking forward to delivering his 4th consecutive blockbuster in Malayalam as he had given 3 continuous blockbusters here in last 7 months.
As per the latest reports that are coming in, this movie is getting ready for a record release all over India. As theater list is yet to come, it is not sure about the record release in Kerala. Anyway, it is confirmed that it will be the second biggest release after Pulimurugan. There are even chances for 1971 Beyond Borders to overtake Pulimurugan.
Pulimurugan holds the record for a Malayalam Movie which had got the most number of screens here in Kerala. It had got more than 214 screens on October 7th, on the day of its release here last year. Now, 1971 Beyond Borders said to be releasing in above 200 screens as well here. Some unconfirmed reports say that it will get around 210 screens tomorrow.
The theater list will arrive today evening. Now, Mammootty starrer The Great Father will be pushed to the third spot, as it was the second best in the list with 180+ screens on its first day here.
