Shanker Ramakrishnan’s debut directional venture ‘Pathinettam Padi’ will introduce 65 newcomers!
Actor/ Writer Shanker Ramakrishnan is now making his debut as a director in Mollywood. His debut directional venture titled as Pathinettam Padi is being bankrolled by August Cinema. Now, the production house informed that this movie will introduce 65 newcomers to Malayala Cinema.
Earlier, the makers conducted a workshop to train the newcomers. In that workshop noted Thai stuntman Kecha Khampakdee trained the newcomers. This is the first time, Kecha is becoming a part of Malayala Cinema, and for the same reason, Pathinettam Padi gained much more attention from movie enthusiasts. Kecha is known for many high voltage action films like Bhaghi, Baahubali 2 etc.
The movie tells a sensitive tale of a group of adolescents. “This movie is about knowledge. The popular devices we employ to educate our children and its effects come under the radar here. The real education happens when they face real-life situations and that’s when they acquire life skills. All these sensitive issues find a voice in Pathinettam Padi,”, says the director as quoted by New Indian Express.
It was in 2009 through the anthology film Kerala Cafe‘s segment titled ‘Island Express’, Shanker Ramakrishnan started his career as a scriptwriter. Then later, in 2012 with Mohanlal starrer Spirit he began his acting career. Afterward, he starred in several films. Mammootty upcoming biggie Kunjali Marakkar IV is written by Shanker along with TP Rajeevan.
