Salim Ahamed movie to feature Tovino Thomas as a struggling filmmaker
Earlier, we reported that Pathemari director Salim Ahamed is all set to direct young actor Tovino Thomas in his next. The movie has been titled as And The Oscar Goes To. In an interview with a national media, Salim revealed more details of this project.
And The Oscar Goes To is all set in the current era and is all about the life of a Malayali director. The directors struggle to make his first movie is the plot of this movie. Tovino Thomas is portraying that role of the struggling filmmaker. Talented actress Anu Sithra will be seen as Tovino’s friend in this movie.
This film will have foreign locations and will be filmed in Los Angeles of US, and Canada. Kochi and Chennai are the other locations of this movie. Siddique, Suraj Vanjaramood, and Salim Kumar are also playing important roles along with Tovino and Anu Sithara. The team is also looking for an actress based in Los Angeles to cast in another lead role.
Meanwhile, Tovino Thomas has completed almost four movies including Dhanush’s Tamil movie Maari 2. Also, his Malayalam movie Theevandi, directed by Fellini, is all set to grace the big screens this week. Maradona, directed by Vishnu Narayan is another Tovino starrer that is expected to release soon
