Prithviraj will play a prince, not a deity in the film Ayyappan
Two days back, Young Superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran had announced a big budget project named Ayyappan, which will be directed by Shankar Ramakrishnan. August Cinema is all set to produce the movie. But a speculation spread in social media that Prithviraj will be playing Lord Ayyappa in this movie.
Now, Shaji Nadeshan, one of the producers of this movie had come out with a clarification. He said that Prithviraj will not be playing Lord Ayyappa in this movie. But it will focus on the life of Ayyappa as a man. The deity worshipped in Sabarimala is a form of Shasta. But the movie will focus on his life as a man and the research for the film has collected those stories from Pandalam Palance.
The first look poster of the movie says that it is about a warrior who is raw, rebel and real. Shankar Ramakrishnan had written the flick as well. He is now filming his first movie named Pathinettam Padi with newcomers in the lead. Megastar Mammootty playing a cameo in it as well.
Prithviraj is now busy with the works of his maiden directorial venture named Lucifer with Mohanlal in the lead. After finishing it, he will act in movies like Aadu Jeevitham, Driving License, Brother’s Day and Kaliyan. Only after that, he will do film Ayyappan.
