Njan Prakashan Review: Sathyan – Sreeni combo strikes with a perfect choice for families!
Njan Prakashan is the Malayalam movie that had graced the screens here in Kerala today which was directed by master director Sathyan Anthikkad. Young Star Fahadh Faasil had played the lead in this family entertainer scripted by none other than Sreenivasan. Sathyan Anthikkad- Sreenivasan team had united after long years and that was the main attraction of this flick. This movie has been produced by Sethu Mannarkkad under the banner of Full Moon Cinema and Nikhila Vimal and Anju played the female leads in this movie. Sreenivasan too had played an important character in this film.
The plot of this movie revolves around the title character played by Fahadh Faasil, whose name is Prakashan. The film focuses on the incidents that happen in his life and the attitude of him towards those incidents. He is a nurse and he wants to go abroad. He does not want to work in Kerala. Then some characters come to his life that changes his life altogether.
Sathyan Anthikkad had once again given us a feel-good family entertainer with quality content to support it. We all know that he always give importance to family relationships in his movies. He values the emotional bond in families and at the same time uses satire to mock the follies that are happening in our society. In this film too, he had chosen such a subject which allow him to show the typical Malayali attitude towards the things happening around them. Sreenivasan had written a very good screenplay which has all elements like love, family sentiments, comedy etc and Sathyan Anthikkad is presented it in a simple but intensive manner. The dialogues and plot situations were hilarious and the director had used the actors very well.
The performance of Fahadh Faasil is the highlight of this movie. He had given a cool and natural performance as Prakashan and he was very much effortless as usual. He had given one of his best performances in recent times and his body language at times made the audience remember vintage Mohanlal. Sreenivasan had done a great job as well in this movie. We can see vintage Sreenivasan as well in it. Nikhila Vimal played her part to perfection and she had given a matured performance as usual. Others like Anju, Aneesh G Menon, Manju Sunichen, Sabitha, Devika, KPAC Lalitha etc too did their part very well.
S Kumar cranked the camera for this film and his visuals were beautiful and really set the tone of this movie. Shan Rahman had tuned the music for this movie and songs were decent ones as well. K Rajagopal had given a smooth flow to the proceedings on screen with his fine cuts. His experience had made the film a free-flowing one and also made it a technically brilliant movie.
In total, Njan Prakashan is a feel-good family entertainer which will be a happy watch for you all for sure. It will not be a disappointment for you and if you love family entertainers which will touch your heart, then this movie is the perfect choice for you.
