Kakshi Amminippilla Review: A humorous courtroom drama which brings home a message as well
Kakshi Amminippilla, directed by debutant director Dinjith Ayyathan, graced the big screens today. Sanilesh Shivan had written the screenplay for this movie in which Asif Ali is playing the lead role. Riju Rajan had bankrolled this flick under the banner of Sara films. This film has a great star cast to boast of and its teaser, songs, etc got great appreciation from the audience as well.
The plot of this film revolves around the character played by Asif Ali, whose name is Pradeepan Manjodi. He is an advocate as well as a local politician in Thalassery. The flick starts moving when an interesting case comes his way and the flick develops around the incidents that follow afterward. Characters named Shajith Kumar Amminipilla and his wife named Kanthi are the other pivotal characters in the plot.
Dinjith Ayyathan and writer Sanilesh Shivan have been successful in bringing a complete entertainer before us. The plot situations were convincing and the situational humor is the highlight of this screenplay. The premise of the plot is very much fresh and they had delivered it with elan. They had presented some relevant issues in a humorous manner. It has everything in it to engage the audience and the director has been in control all the way. That itself had made this movie a great one. The dialogues were hilarious at times and the way they used the artists also needs appreciation. It has everything in it which you expect from an Asif Ali starrer and at the same time, it offers something very different from his previous films. There is no exaggeration in the plot situations and that made the film connect with the mind of the audience very quickly.
The performance from Asif Ali as Pradeepan has been fantastic and he once again played his character with energy and enthusiasm. His comedy timing was at its best in this flick and his body language is what made this character a convincing one. His onscreen chemistry with all other actors in it played a pivotal part in the success of this movie. Artists like Ahammad Siddiqui, Basil Joseph, Nirmmal, Sudheesh, Srikanth Murali, Vijaya Raghavan, Lukman, Haarish Kanaran, Mammukkoya, Babu Swamy, Sarassa Balussery, Shibla, Aswathy, Unni Raja, Sudhi Paravoor, Shivadasan, etc also done well in this film. Basil Joseph, Vijaya Raghavan, and Srikanth Murali deserve special mention as they just had done a fabulous job.
The songs were tuned by Arun Muralidharan and Samuel Aby. They did a fine job with songs. The background music was scored by Jakes Bejoy and he needs special mention for the fantastic work he has done. The DOP of this flick was Bahul Ramesh and his frames set the tone of the movie. Soorej ES is the one who edited this flick and his cuts provided a smooth flow to the narration of the plot and it was also instrumental in making this movie technically a perfect one.
In total, Kakshi Amminippillai is a very good comedy drama which will offer you complete entertainment. It will make you laugh a lot and will give you some thrilling moments as well. It is a movie which will give you a fresh cinematic experience and it will not disappoint you for sure.
