Mohanlal and Prakash Raj to share screen space after Iruvar!
Iruvar, the Mani Ratnam directorial movie in which Mohanlal played the lead is considered as one of the best ever movies made in India. Even Mani Ratnam believes that Iruvar is his best work till date and Mohanlal had given a performance in it which got a worldwide appreciation as well. Critics also appreciated Prakash Raj’s performance.
Iruvar told the life story of Legendary MGR and Mohanlal played the character of MGR in this movie. Prakash Raj was shot to fame through this movie and he played the character of Karunanidhi in it. Even though the character names of Mohanlal and Prakash Raj in this movie was Anandan and Tamil Selvan, they both represented MGR and Karunanidhi. It was released almost 20 years ago. After 20 years, Mohanlal and Prakash Raj is all set to share screen space again and it will be through the recently announced big budget movie titled Odiyan. The movie will start rolling from May 25.
Odiyan will be the biggest budget Malayalam Movie till now and it will start filming from May 25th this year. Sreekumar Menon, a debutant will be directing this movie which has been scripted by national award winning writer and journalist named Harikrishnan.

Prakash Raj will play the villain in this movie and Manju Warrier will play the female lead. Mohanlal will play the title character of Odiyan and this movie will be produced by Aashirvad Cinemas. Names like Sabu Cyril, Sreekar Prasad, Peter Hein, Shaji Kumar, Satheesh etc will be associated with this movie as well in various technical departments.
