Mohanlal’s Odiyan has Baahubali actor Sathyaraj in an important role
Mohanlal already completed filming his two films – Villain and Velipadinte Pusthakam. Now, the Superstar is moving to his next project titled Odiyan.
This movie directed by V A Shrikumar Menon is being produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas. Here is an interesting update about the cast.
The Odiyan team had roped in Baahubali actor Sathyaraj to play an important role. Reports say that the makers of Odiyan originally considered Amitabh Bachchan for this role. Now, the team roped in Sathyaraj.
Mohanlal and Sathyaraj earlier shared screen space in 2015 Malayalam movie Laila O Laila. Kattappa, the character played by Sathyaraj in Baahubali series has made him gain huge popularity all over India. Sources say that the actor will play another strong character in Odiyan too.
This big project also has popular South Indian actor Prakash Raj playing a vital role. Mohanlal and Prakash Raj earlier teamed for critically acclaimed 1997 Tamil movie Iruvar, which later gained cult status among movie lovers. The duo also shared screen space in 1996 Malayalam movie named The Prince.

Manju Warrier is playing the lead female role in this Mohanlal starrer flick.
Odiyan‘s shooting will commence on August 27 at Banaras. The team will have 4 days shoot there and then move to Palakkad to have a long schedule there.
