Mersal is not just about mass sequences, says the writer
Mersal, the biggest movie in Thalapathy Vijay’s career is all set to grace the screens tomorrow. It will be the biggest release in Vijay’s career and viewers expecting a complete mass masala entertainer from Atlee- Vijay combination. But Vijayendra Prasad, the Baahubali writer who had co-written this movie said that Mersal is not just about mass sequences to cater fans.
He said that in Mersal, they had given importance to the emotional element as well. Vijay is playing three characters for the first time in his career. Vijayendra Prasad says that the emotional bonding between the three characters played by Vijay forms the crux of the plot and it is the driving force of the narration.
Mersal will reach more 3300 screens all over the globe. It has been bankrolled by Thenandal films and the film has a wonderful star cast as well. Kajal Agarwal, Samantha, and Nithya Menon play the female lead characters in this movie. Along with him, artists like SJ Surya, Sathyaraj, Vadivelu etc also will be seen playing some terrific characters in it.
AR Rahman had tuned the music for this film. Mass sequences will be the highlight of this movie. But the emotional journey towards those sequences makes Mersal Unique, says Vijayendra Prasad.
