The film was written by Renjan Pramod based on a real life character and Lal Jose had directed the movie. Kavya Madhavan had played the female lead in that movie and the music tuned by Vidyasagar was instrumental in the success of the film. Artists like Jagathy Sreekumar, Indrajith Sukumaran, Jyothirmayi, Cochin Haneefa, Salim Kumar, Harisree Ashokan, Oduvil Unnikrishnan etc played important characters in this movie which went on to become one of the evergreen classic entertainer of Mollywood.
