Super Star Suresh Gopi, who is now an honorable Member of Parliament, had attended an award function after many years and it is indeed a strange thing as well. Because, Suresh Gopi stopped attending award functions and other big functions related to Cinema many years ago even though he continued to act in films. He never came to attend stage shows done by Association of Malayalam Movie Artists as well. Last year he had acted in Shakar film “I” as main villain and he got invited for its audio launch by the team behind the movie. But still he stayed away from that grand function on which the Indian Cinema World focused in that day.
Recently, Suresh Gopi attended an award function organized by Foccana Federation of Malayali association in North America. They had organized this award function to honor the artists and technicians who proves their talents in Malayalam Cinema. Suresh Gopi got the Life Time Achievement award and he came all the way from Kerala to Toronto to receive this award named Fimca Film Award. Dileep won best actor award and Mamta Mohandas won best actress award. Lal Jose won the best director award and Ennu Ninte Moideen had won the best film award at Fimca Awards. Suresh Gopi had come to America for the first time after becoming the Member of Parliament and that too made this event an important one.
