Lucifer overtakes Pulimurugan in GCC Market; Second only to Baahubali 2
3 years before, we saw Pulimurugan storm, through which Complete Actor Mohanlal had given Mollywood its first 100 crores grossing movie. During that box office storm, it becomes the highest grossing South Indian movie in GCC market. Later Baahubali 2 surpassed that record. Now, Mohanlal surpassed the record set by Pulimurugan through his latest release named Lucifer.
Lucifer had grossed over 33 crores from UAE/GCC market in just 10 days time. It is now second only to the Almighty Baahubali 2 when it comes to top South Indian grossers in GCC. Lucifer is on Rampage mode now, as it had grossed over 41 crores from its overseas run and surpassed the top overseas grossers of Thala Ajith and Surya.
Mohanlal had emerged as the biggest star in South India after Vijay And Rajinikanth. Lucifer had grossed near 93 crores from its worldwide run in just 10 days. The Kerala gross had crossed 40 crores and its rest of India gross crossed 8 crore mark. It will most probably surpass the magical 100 crores mark by today or tomorrow and become the second only Mollywood movie to do so. Let’s wait for that magical moment and the Lucifer rampage is on and unstoppable.
