After ‘Bhayanakam’, Jayaraj’s next is Nipah virus based movie ‘Roudram’
National award-winning director Jayaraj’s next will feature the recent Nipah virus outbreak happened in Kozhikode. This movie has been titled as ‘Roudram’. Roudram is part of Jayaraj’s Navarasa series and will be the seventh installment in the series.
Jayaraj revealed that he visited Kozhikode to know more about Nipah virus and its effect on people. According to him, this virus outbreak incident is suitable for making a movie on the rasa of ‘Roudram’. He is also planning to visit Kozhikode again for more research on the virus outbreak.
The last and sixth movie in the Navarasa series was ‘Bhayanakam. Last year, Bhayanakam grabbed three national awards last year including Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Cinematography.
It was through the 2000 film Shantham, Jayaraj started the Navarasa series. Then the Navarasa series was updated with films like Karunam, Bhibatsa, Adbhutam, Veeram, and recently Bhayanakam.
