The Great Father first day collection report: New Opening Day Record in Mollywood!
The first-day collection report of the most hyped movie of Mammootty’s career, The Great Father, has been published by August Cinemas who produced the movie.
As per the Facebook post by Prithviraj Sukumaran, this film had earned 4.31 crores on its first day from 958 shows and 202 screens. The previous best in Mollywood was 4.06 crore earned by Pulimurugan starred by Mohanlal.
Pulimurugan had released in 214 screens here in Kerala. The Great Father also surpassed the first-day collection record set by Kabali here, which is 4.27 crore. But still, the highest single day collection belongs to Pulimurugan, which earned 4.83 crores on its 3rd day.
The Great Father is directed by debutant Haneef Adeni and he had written it as well. Sneha, Arya, Santhosh Keezhattoor, Baby Anikha, Shajon, Balaji Sharma, Mia, Malavika Mohan etc played important characters in this family thriller which had got mixed to positive reviews from the audience.
Even though there are screen removals and show reduction on its second day due to 3 other releases, this film is expected to get a huge first-weekend figure from Kerala. Today it had released in Rest of India market as well.
