Dulquer Salmaan and Sai Pallavi starrer Kali to have Telugu dubbed version
Dulquer Salmaan and Sai Pallavi starrer Kali was a box office hit in Kerala. The movie which was released in 2016 was Sai Pallavi’s second Malayalam movie after her debut movie Premam. Now, Kali is going to be dubbed into Telugu.
The dubbing rights of this movie have been acquired by DV Krishna Swamy. The movie will be released under the banner of Lakshmi Chennakesava Films. Currently, the dubbing works are ongoing.
Telugu title and logo will be revealed in the second week of August.
Kali directed by Sameer Thahir was the first collaboration of Dulquer and Sai Pallavi. In this movie, Dulquer Salman acted as a short-tempered young married man named Siddarth. Sai Pallavi played the character named Anjai, wife of Dulquer Salmaan’s character. The movie narrates how the short-tempered nature of Dulquer Salmaan’s character strained their marriage life.

Kali was already remade into Kannada as Kidi, which is going to hit the screens this month itself. Bhuwan Chandran and Pallavi are playing the lead roles in Kannada remake version.
Meanwhile, Dulquer Salmaan already has a straight Telugu movie this year in Tollywood titled Mahanati. This movie is also going to be Dulquer’s debut Telugu movie. Earlier, his Tamil movie OK Kanmani directed by Maniratnam was dubbed into Telugu with the title OK Bangaram.
On the other hand, Sai Pallavi made her debut in Telugu with Fidaa directed by Shekkar Kammula. This movie starred by Varun Teja gains rave reviews and eventually, it becomes the biggest opener for Varun Teja.
As both Dulquer Salmaan and Sai Pallavi have a great fan following in Telugu states, this Kali dubbed version is expected to perform well there also. The Telugu version is being planned for release in September this year.
