Sai Pallavi and Tamanna opted out and Kajal Agarwal roped in to play the female lead in Thala 57!
Thala 57 is the upcoming movie of Thala Ajith, which will be directed by Siva, who had earlier directed Ajith movies like Veeram and Vedhalam. The movie is not titled yet and Thala 57 is only a temporary title. The movie has been launched recently and the shooting will kick start from this coming August at Bulgaria as per reports. The cast of the film is not yet finalized and the main problem they are facing is regarding the female lead in this movie. At first, they considered Anushka Shetty. But she opted out from the movie due to her other commitments. Then they reportedly met Irudhi Sutru fame Ritwika Singh. But she too did not accept the offer. Then actresses like Kriti Sanon and Tamanna also approached to play the female lead in it and at last they even approached Premam fame Mollywood actress Sai Pallavi as well. But everyone opted out from this movie as they all had busy with their previous commitments.
Now the news is coming in that Kajal Agarwal is roped in to play the female lead in this movie. If it is true, then it will be for the first time that Kajal is going to play the female lead of Thala Ajith. She had played the female lead opposite top stars like Vijay, Suriya, Dhanush etc before. Sathyajyothi films bankrolling this movie and Vetri is the DOP of this film. Anirudh will tune the music for this Ajith movie after Vedhalam as well.
