Oppam completing 50 Golden Days with Record Breaking Collections!
Mohanlal – Priyadarshan movie Oppam was released in this Onam season and on September 8th to be precise. The film had become an all-time biggest blockbuster in Mollywood and it also made its place in the 50 crore club of Mollywood from its worldwide run as well. Oppam could have become an industry hit here in Mollywood surpassing Drishyam record, but Mohanlal’s another film named Pulimurugan came and took the box office by a storm. Pulimurugan had become the industry hit within 16 days that left Oppam behind. But still, Oppam is in the list of TOP 5 highest grossers in Mollywood. It will surely move up in the list as well in the coming days. Now, the film is all set to celebrate its 50 days in theaters here and on 27th October, it will complete 50 golden days here. It will have 64 theaters to its credit while it is celebrating the 50 days run in Kerala.

The film had earned above 39 crores from its 48 days run here in Kerala. The GCC area collection had crossed 10 crores and Rest of India market too contributed around 4 crores. From other markets like USA and Europe as well it had earned around 2 crore rupees and the total worldwide gross of the movie now stands around 55 crores. Everybody is hoping that by the time it completes it run, it will touch the 60 crore mark from worldwide box office as well.
