Yatra: First ticket of Mammootty-Starrer sold for a whopping Rs. 4.4 Lakhs

Yatra, the Telugu film based on late Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s famous padayatra, is all set to hit the big screen this week. The movie will also mark the re-entry of Mollywood superstar Mammootty in Telugu Film Industry after several years. Now, the latest report suggests that the very first ticket of the movie was sold for a whopping amount in US.

Yatra’s first ticket was sold on an auction at Seattle, US for a whopping $6,116 (Rs. 4.4 Lakhs). That’s more than 40 times the price of a Terry Fator comedy show. Munishwar Reddy, a hardcore fan of YSR bought the ticket in a bid. The fund generated to this auction will be donated to YSR foundation.

This movie which got Mammootty in YSR’s role is helmed by Mahi V Raghav. Apart from Mammootty, other stars in this movie include Suhasini, Jagapathy Babu, Anasooya, Posani Krishna Murali, Rao Ramesh, and Vinod Kumar, among others.

Yatra will be released in Malayalam and Tamil too at the same time. The release is scheduled for February 8.
