Will Suresh Gopi come up with Lelam sequel..?
Lelam directed by Joshiy and scripted by Renji Panicker is one of the biggest successes in Mollywood as well as in the career of Action Star Suresh Gopi. The film had released in the year 1997. Now, a rumor is doing its round in Social Media that Super Star Suresh Gopi is all set to do a sequel to this movie and Lelam 2 will start rolling from next year. In 2017, Lelam will celebrate its 20th anniversary as well. Suresh Gopi, who is also an Honorary Member of Parliament now will take some time from his busy schedule to do this movie, which may mark his comeback to Mollywood after a short break.
Reports also say that Renji Panicker will write the screenplay for this sequel and his son Nithin Renji Panicker will direct this film. Nithin had made his entry to Mollywood through the Mammootty starrer Cop film named Kasaba. There are reports that he will have a Mohanlal project as well.
Recently Nithin told in an interview that, doing a movie based on a script written by his father Renji Panicker is one of his dreams and he expressed his hope that it will happen very soon. Earlier he told that the films which influenced him the most are Lelam and Narasimham. The report about Lelam Sequel is not a confirmed one and Nithin Renji Panicker and Suresh Gopi had not yet reacted to this rumor.
