Will Megastar Mammootty and Superstar Rajinikanth join for a movie next year?
If the reports coming in are to be believed, then Megastar Mammootty will join hands with Superstar Rajinikanth again for a movie next year. Some unconfirmed reports are coming in that Master Director Mani Ratnam is all set to make a movie with Mammootty – Rajinikanth team again.
In the year, 1991 Mani Ratnam had directed a movie titled Thalapathy with Rajnikanth and Mammootty in the lead. It was a box office successes and also got great critical appreciation. Mammootty and Rajinikanth played the characters named Deva and Surya. Aravind Swamy and Shobhana played important roles in it as well.
Now, reports say that Mani Ratnam is planning an action thriller next, with Mammootty and Rajinikanth and the shoot will begin next year. It will be shot in India and overseas locations. But there is no confirmation till now from regarding this project either from the side of the lead actors or from the side of Mani Ratnam.
Rajinikanth is now finishing up Enthiran 2 directing by Shankar and then he will do a movie with Pa Renjith, which will be bankrolled by Dhanush. There are rumors that it will be titled as Baasha 2. Mani Ratnam’s recent release with Karthi in the lead was a box office failure.
