I will cast both Mohanlal and Kamal Hassan in my dream project if they are available, says Mani Ratnam!
Mani Ratnam is one of the most popular directors in India and he is a legend in Indian Cinema. He had made many movies and most of them turned out to be classic ones.
In a recent interview of him, taken by none other than Gautham Vasudev Menon, he revealed about his dream project titled Ponniyin Selvan, which will be an adventure movie and has Alexander Dumas kind of story. He said that for the movie he needs stars who are ready to do multi-hero movies and a huge budget. Gautham Vasudev Menon further asked about who will he cast, Mohanlal or Kamal Hassan, in his dream project. As a reply to that, he said that he want to cast them both if he gets a chance to make this big budget dream project, as both are great actors.
Mani Ratnam had made the classic named Nayakan with Kamal Hassan in the lead and Iruvar with Mohanlal in the lead. These two movies are considered as his all-time best works as well.
Mani Ratnam said that working with Mohanlal is an amazing experience. It is every director’s dream to make a movie with Mohanlal in the lead. The subtlety Mohanlal brings to the character he plays is just fantabulous to say the least, and Mani Ratnam said that he had learned a lot from Mohanlal while working with him in Iruvar.
