Why Shobhana rejected the offer to act along with Prithviraj?
Shobhana is considered as one of the best actresses Mollywood had ever seen and she is very popular all over South India as well. This national award-winning actress had played the female lead of all major superstars in South India including Rajnikanth, Mohanlal, Mammootty etc. Her onscreen association with Complete Actor Mohanlal was stunning and Mohanlal- Shobhana pair is regarded as one of the most popular hero-heroine combination in Malayalam Cinema history as well. Shobhana was away from her acting career for many years as she has dedicated her life to classical dance. But in between, she did some movies here. In 2013, she had played the central character in Vineeth Sreenivasan directorial movie named Thira. But last year when she was approached by Maniyan Pillai Raju and Marthandan with an offer to play an important character in Prithviraj movie Pavada, she refused to do that film.
Shobhana was in the mind of the team behind the film to play the mother character of Prithviraj in that movie, which was later played by Asha Sharath. Shobhana was not comfortable doing the mother character of Prithviraj and she said that she wants to do different characters other than mother roles. She also said that she rejected many movies because of her busy schedule related to the dance school of her.
