Iconic Homage: Pranav and Dhyan Embrace MGR’s Style in ‘Varshangalkku Shesham’ First Look Poster Debut

The team behind the 2022 Malayalam blockbuster “Hridayam” is set for a triumphant return with their latest venture, “Varshangalkku Shesham.” Director Vineeth Sreenivasan, actors Pranav Mohanlal, and Kalyani Priyadarshan, alongside producer Visakh Subramaniam, unveiled the highly anticipated first look poster today.

Following the success of “Hridayam,” the team is embarking on a new creative journey with “Varshangalkku Shesham.” The poster, revealed today, showcases Pranav and Dhyan near a cut-out of the legendary actor MGR, immersed in celebration. Surrounding them are old movie posters and children, creating a nostalgic atmosphere reminiscent of MGR’s era. Pranav and Dhyan pay homage to MGR by imitating his iconic style. The Malayalam title, “Varshangalkku Shesham,” translates to “Years Later” in English, hinting at a narrative spanning different time periods.

Director Vineeth Sreenivasan expressed gratitude and excitement on Instagram, announcing the completion of the shoot on Dhyan’s birthday at 2 am. He highlighted the passion and dedication of the team, teasing a release in April 2024.

In addition to Pranav Mohanlal, Kalyani Priyadarshan, and Dhyan Sreenivasan, the star-studded cast includes Nivin Pauly in a cameo, Aju Varghese, Basil Joseph, Neeraj Madhav, Neeta Pillai, Arjun Lal, Nikhil Nair, Shaan Rahman, and Vineeth himself. Social media buzzed about Dhyan Sreenivasan’s remarkable weight loss transformation for the film, directed by his older brother Vineeth.

The film, shot across 50 locations in just 40 days, features a stellar cast of 132 actors and a dedicated crew of 200 members. “Varshangalkku Shesham,” announced in July and filming commenced in October, promises a unique and immersive cinematic experience. As anticipation builds for the April 2024 release, the first look poster sets the stage for an enthralling journey back in time, offering a glimpse into the rich storytelling and visual spectacle awaiting audiences.
