Superstar Mohanlal to make his Bengali debut soon, reports say
It seems that Mollywood Superstar Mohanlal is all set to spread charm in Bengali film industry too. As per some unconfirmed reports, Mohanlal is all set to make his debut in Bengali Cinema this year.
A rumor is spreading in Bengali Medias that Mohanlal has been roped in to play the lead in the upcoming film of popular Bengali Director Ashish Roy. It will be a movie adaptation of Abul Bashar’s novel Phool Bou.
Mohanlal will play the character of an Imam in this movie and reports also say that the director is looking to rope in Radhika Apte to play the female lead in it. The director reportedly said to some Bengali media that he approached Mohanlal with the idea and Mohanlal agreed to do it.
Now, the team behind the movie is working on fixing the other artists in the flick. The official confirmation about this project is yet to come. Mohanlal had already worked in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada part from Malayalam.
Bengali Cinema is known for its realistic way of storytelling just like Malayalam and it will be great to see Mohanlal in a Bengali film if the above-mentioned project happens with him in the lead.
