Janatha Garage bowed down, Pulimurugan becomes the third biggest South Indian grosser in 2016!

Mohanlal had now become the most valuable star in South India after Rajinikanth and Ilayathalapathy Vijay, as he is making box office records at will and surpassing each record in South Indian Cinema like a cakewalk. He is making records with his movies and breaking those records with his next film. Now, his Malayalam movie Pulimurugan had become the 3rd highest grosser in South India in 2016. Pulimurugan had surpassed the total gross of Janatha Garage and now stands behind Rajinikanth’s Kabali and Vijay’s Theri in terms of its total gross. Rajinikanth starrer Kabali had grossed around 350 crores from its worldwide run and Vijay’s Theri had grossed around 175 crores in its lifetime run.

Pulimurugan had now surpassed 135 crores from its 75 days run all over the world including the collections from its Telugu dubbed version which released two weeks back. The Telugu dubbed version of the movie had already made more than triple profit. Janatha Garage starred by Mohanlal and Jr. NTR had made around 135 crores from its worldwide run and it occupies the 4th position in the top South Indian grossers list in 2016. In the list of top 5 grossers from South India in this year, two Mohanlal movies had made its place and it is exceptional to say the very least.
