Pulimurugan songs failed to make its place on the final nomination list for Oscars
It has been a big news when the songs from the Malayalam Movie named Pulimurugan starred by Mohanlal made its place in the list of songs which will be considered for Oscar awards. The two songs from the movie, Kaadaniyum Kalchilambe and Manathe Marikurumbe, has been made it to the list of Original Score and Original Song.
But now, when the final list of nominees came, Pulimurugan songs failed to make its place in that. It has been announced on January 23 this year. The final nominees for original score include scores by Hans Zimmer for Dunkirk, Jonny Greenwood for Phantom Thread, Alexandre Desplat for The Shape of Water, John Williams for Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Carter Burwell for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
Gopi Sundar is the one who composed the songs for Pulimurugan which was released in 2016. The 90th Motion Picture Award will be announced in this coming February. The final nominees for original songs are Mighty River from the flick Mudbound, Mystery of Love from the movie Call Me by Your Name, Remember Me from the film Coco, Stand Up for Something from Marshall, and This Is Me from The Greatest Showman.
