A ‘dummy tiger’ was made by a team from Kannur having the same physical dimensions and weight of the real tiger. It took almost 2 months to make the dummy. The usage of the dummy tiger was to mark the position of the tiger.

This type of rehearsals is very vital in making the movie perfect one. Mohanlal Sir was the one who toils the most in this. He was ready to corporate as much as needed.

Dummy tiger’s use is to know the angle and distance of the tiger from the camera. Timings were noted before the actual shoot of ‘tiger scenes’ with the help of dummy tiger.

It is not possible to use real tiger for rehearsals. Shooting the climax scene has a huge risk. Mohanlal, director as well as the whole crew was ready to take up the risk. There is huge effort behind a movie than others think. But, the audience enjoys the movie without thinking about it. Everyone has the right to criticize, but many of them criticize without knowing the truth.” – Joseph Nellikkal says.
