Priyadarshan’s ‘Haiwaan’ goes on floors in Kochi; Reunites Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan after 17 years

The much-awaited reunion of Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan is finally happening. The duo is back together after a long gap of 17 years for a new film titled ‘Haiwaan’, helmed by acclaimed director Priyadarshan. The movie officially went on floors in Kochi.

Priyadarshan himself took to social media to announce the commencement of the shoot, sharing a picture from the location in Panampilly Nagar. The photo, which shows the director with the two lead actors, has already garnered significant attention. What has particularly caught the eye of fans is Saif Ali Khan’s look, as he is seen with a violin case and a cane, sparking curiosity about his character. The film is touted to be a high-octane thriller.

The last time Akshay and Saif were seen together on the silver screen was in the 2008 film ‘Tashan’. ‘Haiwaan’ is being bankrolled by KVN Productions and Thespian Films. The film boasts of a stellar technical team, with Sabu Cyril handling production design, Divakar Mani as the cinematographer, and M.S. Ayyappan Nair managing the edits. Aroma Mohan is the Production Controller.

After the Kochi schedule, the film will be shot across various locations including Wagamon, Ooty, and Mumbai. This project comes as Priyadarshan’s other film, ‘Bhoot Bangla’, is in the post-production stage. His last theatrical release was ‘Appatha’.
