Paviyettante Madhura Chooral Review: A Sreenivasan special for families

Sreenivasan is a writer who had given us a lot of classic films and his associations with director Sathyan Anthikkad and actors like Mohanlal and Jayaram had given us some evergreen movies. He had written a movie after a long time and now that movie had graced the screens today. It has been titled as Paviyettante Madhura Chooral and the flick was directed by Sreekrishnan. This feel-good family entertainer has been bankrolled by V C Sudhakaran, C Vijayan and Sudheer C Nambiar under the banner of Sanjeevani Creations. Sreenivasan himself plays the lead role in this film.

The plot of the movie revolves around Pavithran and Ani, played by Sreenivasan and Lena respectively. Ani is forced to elope with Pavithran as her family opposed their relationship. After 30 years, now they are working as school teachers in a village. The couples don’t have a child. One day an Engineering student named Anandu (played by Shebin Benson) reached the village and claimed to Ani that Pavithran is his father. The things go wrong at this point and form the rest of the story.

When it comes to direction, we can say that Sreekrishnan had done a great job as he presented the film in an engaging manner till the very end. The screenplay written by Sreenivasan was the backbone of the film. As usual, he mixed family emotions, humor, and social issues properly to give the audience a feel-good experience. The dialogues were great too and the Sreenivasan special one-liners were there as well. Sreekrishnan had created a great visual language to the plot which has depth and intensity of emotions in it. The plot situations were very much convincing and the audience can relate to them easily.

Performances from Sreenivasan and Lena are the main highlights of this movie. Both of them complimented each other very well and their chemistry on screen has been great. Sreenivasan was at his best when it came to his body language and his dialogue delivery style once again created humor. Lena had given an award-winning performance in the film as she just given her flesh and blood to the character she played. Hariseee Ashokan needs a special mention as well. He had given one of his finest performances in recent years. Other artists like Vijayaraghavan, Vinu Mohan, Nandu Poduval, Shebin, Nazeer Samkranthi, V K Baiju etc too did a good job by paying their part to perfection.

The DOP by P Sukumar had created the atmosphere to tell the story and the background scoring by Bijipal too has been great. The music blend really well with the visuals. Songs tuned by Raghunath has been decent as well. Ranjan Abraham had provided the movie with smooth pace as with his editing skill and experience.

In total, Paviyettante Madhura Chooral is a feel-good family drama which will never let you down if you love such movies. It will make you emotional and also will make you think as well. It has a life in it and that itself will make you feel the movie till the very end.
