Pavithram remake on cards; Will Dulquer Salmaan play the lead or not?
As per the latest reports that are coming in from Kollywood, they are all set to remake the classic Mohanlal movie named Pavithram to Tamil. Reports also suggest that either Dulquer Salmaan or Sivakarthikeyan be roped in to play the lead role in the movie.
Now, everyone is eager to know whether Dulquer will accept the challenge to play a character which has been made immortal by the one and only Mohanlal.
Pavithram was written by P Balachandran and directed by T K Rajeev Kumar and it was released almost 25 years back. Mohanlal’s performance in it as Chettachan has been considered as one of his finest and one of the best in Indian Cinema as well. It will be a great challenge and risk if Dulquer Salmaan decides to play that role again on screen.
Recently, a Bollywood movie named Badhai Ho, which was loosely based on the theme of Pavithram, had made it big at the box office. It was a blockbuster hit starred by Ayushman Khurana. People are of the opinion that, if they are going to remake Badhai Ho to Tamil, then it will be alright as Dulquer or Sivakarthikeyan can play the character that was actually played by Ayushman Khurana. But everyone is of the opinion that it is not at all wise to touch Pavithram as no one can even think of doing that character as perfectly as Mohanlal.
