Oru Kuprasidha Payyan Review: An extraordinary thrilling journey to justice
People always love thrillers and when it is realistic, it adds more charm to the genre. But such movies are very rare as filmmakers always tend to add more and more commercial elements to the plot to make it a complete package of entertainment. While doing it, they knowingly or unknowingly kills the real charm of that genre. Such a realistic thriller has graced the silver screens here in Mollywood today and it is Oru Kuprasidha Payyan directed by popular director Madhupal. Tovino Thomas played the lead in this movie which was written by Jeevan Job Jacob. This movie has been bankrolled by V Cinemas and the female lead characters in this flick were played by, Anu Sithara and Nimisha Sajayan. The trailer of this flick had generated a great level of anticipation among the audience.
This movie has been made as a mystery thriller/ investigation thriller. The film revolves around a murder and the mysteries associated with the accused named Ajayan, played by Tovino Thomas. Nimisha plays the character named Hanna Elizabeth and Anu Sithara plays Jalaja. As it ’s a thriller, we are not at the liberty to reveal more about the things happening in the movie as it will become a spoiler.
Madhupal had given us classic movies like Thalappavu, Ozhimuri etc in the past and each of his movies was unique ones. Just like that, he had come up another gem of a movie and this time it has been presented as a thriller. But he not just given us a usual thriller. He had made it as a mystery thriller which has been made realistically and that alone make this movie one of the finest films we have seen in recent time. It moves forward as an investigation thriller which circles around a murder mystery. The screenplay by Jeevan Job Jacob was the backbone of this movie as it was so tight and thrilling. The characterization of Tovino Thomas, the central character has been fantastic. The way Madhupal presented the plot situations and played with it was just superb to say the very least. The plot has depth and the presentation has intensity, which connected the mind of the audience with the movie.
Performance from Tovino Thomas as Ajayan has been superb. He once again lived as the character on screen and he is turning out to be one of the finest actors we have in our younger generation in Mollywood. Nimisha Sajayan impressed with her performance as advocate Hanna and Anu Sithara too once again did very well. This film has a great star cast and each of the artists had played their part to perfection. Nedumudi Venu, Sudheer Karamana, Sibi, Siddique, Alencier Ley Lopez, Saranya Ponvannan, Swetha Menon, Balu Varghese, Dileesh Pothan, Sujith Shankar, G Suresh Kumar etc played their part very well.
The DOP of this movie was Noushad Shereef and he did a marvelous job by creating a realistic yet curiosity generating atmosphere to tell the plot. Ouseppachan’s music was one of the highlights of this film, especially the background scoring. V Sajan edited the flick with precision and that provided the movie with the required pace and technical brilliance.
On the whole, Oru Kuprasidha Payyan is a different kind of thriller which will give you a unique cinematic experience. As we said above, everything in it will give you something fresh and will satisfy you as a cinema lover. The making, the performances and also the subject they told, will give you something that you have never experienced before.
