Odiyan registered the biggest initial collection ever in Kerala market!
Mohanlal starrer Odiyan which released last day all over the globe had created a new opening day record here in Kerala even after getting mixed reviews. It was a Hartal day too but the film had overcome it all to register the biggest ever opening day figure in the Kerala market.
As per trade analysts, the flick had grossed over 7.25 Crores on its first day in Kerala. The worldwide collection may touch 20 Crores on day 1. In the UAE/GCC market, this film had broken the record set by Pulimurugan two years before. Pulimurugan had played 681 shows on day 1 there and Odiyan surpassed it by playing 683 shows on day 1.
The UAE gross of this film is more than 5 Crores on day 1 and the total UAE/GCC figure will be huge. In Rest of India market too, the film had created records. It became the biggest ever Mollywood opener in Bangalore by double margin beating Kayamkulam Kochunni. In Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Telugu states too, the flick had got a fabulous opening. In Kerala, it broke the first-day collection record set by films like Sarkar, 2.0 and Baahubali 2.
