Till today the biggest first day grosser in Mollywood was Kali starred by Dulquar Salman and directed by Sameer Thahir. It had got more than 2.33 crores on its first day as per reports and that too from Kerala alone. The film had released in March 26 this year and surpassed the record set by Mohanlal’s Loham which got an amount near 2.19 crore on its first day in last year August. But from now on, it will be Kasaba, not Kali which holds the first day collection record. As per reports, the first day collection of the movie from Kerala was around 2.48 crores and it’s a new milestone at Kerala Box office.
This Nithin Renji Panicker movie had released yesterday and got mixed opinion from the audience. The diehard fans loved it, as it was a complete Mammootty show. But the neutral audience not really impressed with the movie as the reviews suggests that. Apart from that, family support is not there for the film as well due to some of the dialogues and scenes in the movies which are only for adults. But the hype that has been created by the movie before the release had come handy and thus it got off to a flier in box office. Let’s hope that the movie will continue its good run on the coming days as well.
