No Box Office battle with Michael Idikkula: Edward Livingstone will come a month later?
We had reported earlier that, this year Onam season will be a rocking one for Mollywood, as a Mohanlal – Mammootty box office battle on cards this season. Mohanlal is coming with the family entertainer titled Velipadinte Pusthakam, which is directing by Lal Jose and producing by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas. Mammootty is now finishing up his movie named Masterpiece directing by Ajay Vasudev, which has been written by Uday Krishna. It was said to be an Onam release this year as well. But now some unconfirmed reports are coming in that, Master Piece has been postponed to Pooja season this year, which comes almost a month later after Onam.
Mohanlal – Lal Jose movie has been written by Benny P Nayarambalam and Mohanlal is playing a College Vice-Principal named Michael Idikkula in it. The interesting this is that Mammootty too playing a college professor in Masterpiece and his character name in this movie is Professor Edward Livingstone. Royal Cinemas is bankrolling Masterpiece.
Velipadinte Pusthakam is the first ever movie from Lal Jose- Mohanlal team, whereas Masterpiece will be the second movie coming from Ajay Vasudev- Mammootty team. Ajay Vasudev made his debut with the Mammootty starrer named Rajadhiraja a few years back.
