Mollywood Satellite Rights: Mohanlal – Mammootty films top the list
Upcoming films of Mollywood superstars are all set to bag some huge amount as satellite rights. Now, Mohanlal films top the list of record satellite rights in Mollywood. Mohanlal’s Pulimurugan tops the list with a satellite price over 10 crore and his film Villain is at the second place with 7 crore satellite rights. Even though Nivin Pauly – Mohanlal starrer Kayamkulam Kochunni said to have got a record deal, the actual amount is not yet disclosed.
As per the latest reports, Mammootty’s upcoming biggie named Madhura Raja directing by Vysakh is looking to get a satellite price equal to 60% of its production cost. Zee Malayalam is the media partner of this movie. The record will be safe in Mohanlal’s hand as his upcoming biggie Odiyan is sure to get a satellite amount above around 12 crores.
Mohanlal’s upcoming release named Drama had got a big amount of 6. 25 crores as satellite price from Surya TV and it is a great amount for a low hype feel-good movie. The Mohanlal factor had played its part here. The same is applicable to Kayamkulam Kochunni as well.
Prithviraj’s Ranam had got a satellite price of 4. 2 crores from Asianet and Biju Menon’s Padayottam had got a satellite amount of 2.7 crores from Zee Malayalam. Mamta Mohandas’s Neeli too got a price over 2 crores from Zee Malayalam.
