Mammootty’s Magnum Opus Mamankam to start rolling from 2018 February
Last month, Mammootty announced the most expensive movie in his career. This movie titled as Mamankam is based on the warriors who lived in 17th Century in Kerala. Mammootty’s magnum opus will be directed by a debutant named Sajeev Pillai. The latest report says that this flick will start rolling from next year February.
Venu Kunnappilly will produce this movie under the banner of Kavya Films and some reports say that it will be made using a budget around 35 to 40 crores. The script for this movie was written by the director Sajeev Pillai himself after 12 years of research.
Director Sajeev Pillai said that the casting process is still on as there will be a few more important characters in the movie along with the central character playing by Mammootty. They are planning to start filming in February if everything goes well.
They had already released a casting call for child artists to play some important characters in this movie. The location hunt is on as well and the team behind the movie said that Mangalore will be one of the main locations at which this film will be shot. Mammootty is now in the set of Parole directing by debutant Sharath and after that, he may join the directorial debut of Sethu, titled as Oru Kuttanadan Blog.
