Producer reveals the opening day worldwide gross of Mammootty’s Mamangam
After so much anticipation Mamangam, one of the biggest budget movies ever made in Mollywood, hits the big screen last day. Directed by M Padmakumar, this movie got Megastar Mammootty and young star Unni Mukundan in the lead roles. Mostly opened with positive responses from the audience, the movie is expected to do great business at the box office. The box office figures disclosed by the producer also betoken this.
As per the producer Venu Kunnappilly, Mamangam got more than 23 crores of gross collection on its opening day worldwide. The producer unveiled this collection figure through a thanking note he posted on his Facebook official page.
The movie sets in the 17th and 18th centuries tells the story of Chaverukals who are in the mission to kill the Zamorin during the Mamangam festival which happens once in 12 years.
Apart from Mammootty and Unni Mukundan, Master Achuthan is also seen in a lead role. Prachi Tehlan, Siddique, Anu Sithara, and Iniya, among others too, play vital roles in this mega-budget movie.
With the weekend coming up and an impressing opening day collection, the movie is expected to stay on top position in the Mollywood box office.
