Lucifer rampage in Kerala; Opening day box office report is out
Once again a Mohanlal starrer is showing the box office potential of Mollywood with big numbers. Prithviraj Sukumaran directorial Mohanlal movie named Lucifer had begun its box office hunt on Thursday and now the first-day collection report of this movie is out.
On its opening day, this movie had played more than 1700 shows in Kerala and grossed over 6.88 crores. The worldwide gross of this movie on day 1 is around 14 crores. This is the second best opening for a Malayalam movie in Kerala and worldwide market.
The top one in this list is another Mohanlal movie named Odiyan, which had grossed over 7.22 crores on day 1 with 1950+ shows here. It had grossed over 18 crores on day one from its worldwide run. But Lucifer is all set to surpass Odiyan within a few days as its second day was on par with the first day in the box office and released in more screens all over the world due to huge public demand.
This movie written by Murali Gopi and produced by Antony Perumbavoor is now on the way to become the second 100 crore grossing movie of Mollywood after Puli Murukan, which grossed around 150 crores.
