The Mohanlal starrer, which was released on March 28, completed 10K shows at GCC, Lucifer becomes the first Mollywood movie to do so!
Mohanlal’s Lucifer already enters the list of top 10 highest grossing Indian movies at the GCC box office a few days back. Now, the movie achieved another milestone as it becomes the first Mollywood movie to complete 10K shows at the Gulf box office.
The previous best show count was for 2016 movie Pulimurugan, that too a Mohanlal starrer, which played 9572 shows. Now, Mohanlal’s own Lucifer surpassed this record.
Also, Lucifer has now emerged as second best South Indian grosser at the GCC Market. Baahubali 2 tops the list. Lucifer, which was directed by young actor Prithviraj, clearly scales the market of Mollywood much wider and sets new benchmarks at the worldwide box office.
Murali Gopi penned the script of this movie and Aashirvad Cinemas bankrolled this mega budget movie.
Vivek Oberoi, Tovino Thomas, Sai Kumar, Manju Warrier, Saniya Iyyappan, Baiju, and Kalabhavan Shajon, among others are playing significant roles in this Mohanlal starrer. Director Prithviraj was also part of the star cast as he played a cameo role in this flick.
